BASIC FURNACE FILTERS The Flanders-Precisionaire EZ Flow, (EZ Flow I), and EZ Flow II disposable Furnace Filters are designed for protection of furnace and central air units in light residential and light commercial applications. Construction of both models is identical except for the media retainer. The EZ Flow features a metal media retainer (We Sell Only the EZ Flow Model with a Metal Retainer) on the downstream side while the EZ Flow II has no media retainer. The Filtration Group, Aerostar Pleated Air Filter, Series 400 MERV 7 Rated Pleated Air Filter incorporates a 100% synthetic media with an ASHRAE 52.2 average atmospheric efficiency of 25% to 30% and an average  arrestance exceeding 90% by weight. The 1" and 2" filters handle velocities up to 500 fpm, the 4" filters up to 625 fpm. The media is bonded to a metal grid on the air-exiting side, preventing fluttering, and maintaining uniformity of the pleats.
